Interview: Miss Pariyakorn Ratanasuban was very generous with her time and answered my interview via email. We covered Womens Muay Thai, the soon to be opened (October.28.2006) Bangkok Boxing Stadium and the current lineup for the Mitsubishi Triton Millions Baht Muaythai Tournament.

Q : Where in Thailand are you from?

I was born in Bangkok

Bachelor of Social Administration, Thamasat University, Bangkok
Master in General Management, Mahidol University (International Programme)

Q : Can you remember the first time you saw Muay Thai?

I saw muaythai with my dad since I can remember, but a real live fight in the stadium, it would be when I was 6 years old.

Yes of course, how could I miss it. Muaythai is one of the best martial art…

It's a little bit different : 4 Rounds 2 mins fight / 2 mins break

Top, Groin Protector , Chest Protector

Q : Which weight classes have the most fighters?

Most of thai female are slim, so the most are in
Strawweight: 105 lbs.

Q : Who are the current superstars?

Jomyuthying S1 Champion, Namwannoi Sakboonma, Angelica Kamann, Petchyuu Sith Krudul

Q : What is the starting cash purse for a professional women's muay thai boxer?

For the beginning female boxer, they will get 5,000 Baht.

Q : What does a champion get for a cash purse?

10,000 Baht (Female Champion)

Q : What was the weight class of the previous Queen's Birthday S1 tourne?

Bantamweight : 118 lbs. And we got the champion is "Jomyuthying Kiet Nor Vor"

Is everything going well for you and your team?

Yes, all of our team is now preparing for the New Stadium, and all of us now hard working also. We are all willing to make it on time for grand opening on October 28,2006

Q : Do you have any ideas about a ranking system for the stadium?

Yes, We have our OneSongchai Muaythai Promotion both of Rachadamnern and OneSongchai live broadcast on Saturday Ch. 11 every Saturday. All of our promotions and all fighters are trustable for Muaythai fans for longer than 30 years. we will have OneSongchai Muaythai ranking to qualify boxers.

Q : Do you have any plans to match Cambodian fighters in your stadium?

We open for all fighter worldwide. It they are good in Muaythai fighting, they are welcomed.

Q : The stadium is also a gym, will you stable your own fighters there as well?

Every Gym has their stable of fighters, and we have a lot of good fighters under OneSongchai management, we will have our own Stable

Q : Will there be international boxing training?

In the beginning, We plan to open class training Muaythai and International Boxing and we will open for the other martial art such as Judo, Jujutsu, Body Combat, Yoga etc.

Q : What products will you be offering to customers in your Muay Thai shop?

We have our own OneSongchai Muaythai CVD and DVD for many series and Boxing Equipment under OneSongchai Brand for many years.

Q : Lumpini and Rajadamnern stadiums have their security head by the Thai Army and Bangkok Police. I feel these two stadiums have unique 'feel', or ambience to them. Who will head the security at your stadium?

We are the neutral side stadium and independent ourself.
